Parisian giants Stade Français have confirmed that now retired French international wing Christophe Dominici will be their backs coach for the upcoming season.

Dominici will thus work under new Head Coach, Australian Ewen McKenzie while Fabrice Landreau has retained his role as forwards coach.

The news comes as no surprise as Dominici had long made clear his intentions of staying involved with the former French champions in some sort of role after his retirement.

The announcement came just one week ahead of the start of training in the French capital (scheduled for Monday July 28) due to the fact that McKenzie, himself appointed only a month ago, needed to be consulted.

Dominici's appointment will go a long way to smoothing the transition into the McKenzie era as the legendary winger has been a stalwart for the club and is close to many of the players. The same goes for Landreau, who will start his fourth year as forwards coach.

36-year-old Dominici won 67 caps for France, the last of which was in Paris at last year's World Cup.
